The rest of the league had time to spare on Jarrian Jones; the Packers did not wait, grabbing him 46 spots ahead at Round 3, Pick 28.
They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Jenkins.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th pick they get a weapon on the perimeter. A clean fit for the roster.
They took Tyler Nubin at par in slot 41, which is nothing to complain about. A minor itch, scratched.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Kris Jenkins at the 58th overall pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
No edge and no loss on Dominick Puni in pick No. 88; it is a wash and a sensible one. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They reached a country mile for Jarrian Jones at No. 91, and the board is aghast. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A straight-up fair deal on Beaux Limmer at the Round 4 slot, value and slot in agreement. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Dillon Johnson. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
