The search is over. The Commanders handed the keys to Drake Maye, and the whole operation now runs on his development. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Sainristil falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They will answer for taking linebacker early while tight end and interior defensive lineman went begging.

Bortolini has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

In the end it comes back to Drake Maye, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
