The Mitchell pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 24 they get an anchor for the offensive line, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Adonai Mitchell in pick No. 56, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A big swing on Tyler Davis at No. 87, well ahead of any board in the building. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Fair-plus on Dillon Johnson, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
JD Bertrand in the 216th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They paid sticker price for Andrew Raym in Round 7, Pick 13, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A tidy little value on Daijahn Anthony in the Round 7 slot, a step better than break-even. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
