You could see the war room lean forward. Caelen Carson at No. 158 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 2 of 8 of the wish list covered. They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 32 they get a press-man option on the boundary, outstanding value to boot. Need was not the driver here.
You do not let a wide receiver like Adonai Mitchell reach the 64th pick and blink. They did not. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Ricky Pearsall at slot 95 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
