Thirty-one other rooms let Sonny Styles slide, and the Cowboys were the ones holding the card at the Round 6 slot. Highway robbery.
Igbinosun has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 12th overall pick they get a featured back at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Nick Emmanwori in pick 43 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Deone Walker in slot 74. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Somehow Danny Stutsman was still sitting there in the Round 5 slot, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Theo Wease Jr. in pick No. 168 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Circle this one: Cody Simon at Round 5, Pick 32 is a fall that decides a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They reached into another round for Davison Igbinosun, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They barely believed it either: Sonny Styles still on the board at the 186th pick. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Value said wait; Luke Lachey in No. 209 says they were not listening. A need, and now a little less of one.
