The 49ers treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the 133rd overall pick on Nadame Tucker a full 41 spots early.
The Bernard pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 27 they get juice off the edge, even if it was a touch early. A clean fit for the roster.
Germie Bernard in slot 75 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They did well to land Connor Lew in Round 3, Pick 23, just ahead of his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Bishop Fitzgerald at No. 127 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
A real head-scratcher, Nadame Tucker in the 133rd pick is miles ahead of his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Nothing to complain about; Oscar Delp went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The roster fit checks out.
No drama and no debate, Isaiah World went about where he belonged in the Round 4 slot. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
