The Dolphins clearly saw something nobody else did in Eric Gentry, taking him 151 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
The Stowers steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.
Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
Derrick Moore in the 52nd pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Keionte Scott. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
A slide stopped in pick No. 70, with Christen Miller worth more than the price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
