The Dolphins went off the board in a big way for LaDarius Henderson, 69 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.
Getting Washington where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
The board had Olumuyiwa Fashanu higher than the 21st overall pick, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Circle this one: Ennis Rakestraw Jr. at No. 55 is a fall that decides a draft. A minor itch, scratched.
A real head-scratcher, Drake Nugent in the 158th pick is miles ahead of his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A big swing on LaDarius Henderson at the Round 6 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. It fills a real need, too.
C.J. Hanson in pick 198 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Tahj Washington in Round 7, Pick 21 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
