The Packers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jarrian Jones fell into the 168th pick. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Chop Robinson · DE-EDGE · rank 22
In slot 25 they get a problem off the edge. The biggest hole, addressed.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · Tyler Nubin · S · rank 40
A straight-up fair deal on Tyler Nubin at No. 41, value and slot in agreement. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R2.26 · Pick 58 · Kris Jenkins · DL-EDGE · rank 46
Value with a capital V on Kris Jenkins in the Round 2 slot, a genuine coup. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R3.25 · Pick 88 · Trey Benson · RB · rank 94
Trey Benson in pick No. 88 is fair value, right on his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R3.28 · Pick 91 · Jaylen Wright · RB · rank 78
Jaylen Wright at the 91st pick is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R4.27 · Pick 127 · Javon Foster · OT · rank 119
Nice patience on Javon Foster, who had no business lasting to pick 127. It fills a real need, too.
R5.32 · Pick 168 · Jarrian Jones · CB · rank 148
Steal is underselling it; Jarrian Jones at the 168th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R6.29 · Pick 204 · Tahj Washington · WR · rank 192
Tahj Washington slid further than he should have, and Round 6, Pick 29 is lovely value for the wide receiver. A need, and now a little less of one.
R6.41 · Pick 216 · JD Bertrand · LB · rank 210
Fair-plus on JD Bertrand, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A minor need, but a need all the same.
R7.23 · Pick 243 · KT Leveston · OT · rank 236
KT Leveston in the 243rd pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R7.31 · Pick 251 · LaDarius Henderson · OT · rank 244
Good price on LaDarius Henderson in pick No. 251, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The roster fit checks out.
