Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Giants never addressed interior defensive lineman, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
Mahogany has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The Coleman value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 5th overall pick they get juice off the edge. A real need, handled.
They jumped the gun on Jordan Morgan, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A slide stopped in slot 54, with Keon Coleman worth more than the price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They reached a country mile for Christian Mahogany at pick 69, and the board is aghast. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They liked Beau Brade enough to skip the value, taking him in the 105th pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A reach for Devin Neal in No. 142; a little patience would have been rewarded. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They paid up for JT Daniels at pick No. 183 when waiting would have done the job. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
