A solid, sensible weekend for the Chiefs: B.

The one they had to fix is still broken. The Chiefs left wide receiver untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.

The Lawrence pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. That Sadiq pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with tight end the one that mattered most. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.9 · Pick 9 · Jeremiyah Love · RB · rank 2
A tidy little value on Jeremiyah Love in the 9th overall pick, a step better than break-even. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R1.29 · Pick 29 · Kenyon Sadiq · TE · rank 17
In pick No. 29 they get a moveable chess piece at tight end at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
R2.8 · Pick 40 · Malachi Lawrence · DE-EDGE · rank 55
A reach on Malachi Lawrence in slot 40; the board had better options right there. A need, and now a little less of one.
