Nobody had Anthony Lucas this high, and it is not close. The Eagles reached 60 spots to get him at the 54th pick. For now it grades a C+, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.
That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
If Joshua Josephs and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

In the 23rd overall pick they get a quarterback's worst nightmare, a steep price for the projection. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A real head-scratcher, Anthony Lucas in the 54th pick is miles ahead of his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
