If confidence were a draft strategy, the Cardinals would have aced it. Rylie Mills at slot 78 is 60 spots clear of where he belonged.
The McCord pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.

They reached a country mile for Jermari Harris at No. 47, and the board is aghast. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.

Tez Johnson at the 114th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
