Nobody else had Kaelon Black anywhere near the 160th pick. The Packers did, by 66 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The bottom line is a respectable B.
On value alone, Scott makes the weekend a net positive. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.
Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
They will replay Keionte Scott at pick 120 for years; that is how good the value is. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Good price on Kaytron Allen in the 153rd pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A big swing on Kaelon Black at Round 5, Pick 20, well ahead of any board in the building. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Steal is underselling it; Anez Cooper at No. 201 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The roster fit checks out.
Jeremiah Wright at the Round 7 slot is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. It fills a real need, too.
Fa'alili Fa'amoe in the 257th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
