Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: A-.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Nadame Tucker, 46 picks early at pick 123.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Pregnon.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Olaivavega Ioane and all.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.26 · Pick 26 · Olaivavega Ioane · OG · rank 22
In pick 26 they get a long-term starter on the line. A real need, handled.
R2.23 · Pick 55 · Emmanuel Pregnon · OG · rank 39
A slide stopped in the 55th pick, with Emmanuel Pregnon worth more than the price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R4.23 · Pick 123 · Nadame Tucker · DE-EDGE · rank 169
Nadame Tucker at No. 123 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R6.23 · Pick 204 · Thaddeus Dixon · CB · rank 211
They took Thaddeus Dixon at par in slot 204, which is nothing to complain about. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R7.30 · Pick 246 · Trey Zuhn III · OT · rank 239
A clean, defensible pick in Round 7, Pick 30 with a little surplus value in Trey Zuhn III. It fills a real need, too.
