Boards are made to be trusted, and the Dolphins shredded theirs for Tyreak Sapp. He came off 151 spots early, and the room will hear about it.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Higgins. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.
The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

In slot 20 they get a run-stuffing presence up front at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Malaki Starks in pick No. 48 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It adds depth where they could use a little.
A straight-up fair deal on Dylan Fairchild at Round 2, Pick 19, value and slot in agreement. It fills a real need, too.
Tez Johnson in the 98th overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They reached a country mile for Tyreak Sapp at the 114th pick, and the board is aghast. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
This one needs a full-page explanation: DJ Uiagalelei in pick 133, miles early. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Jimmy Horn Jr. at Round 5, Pick 12 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A real head-scratcher, Nazir Stackhouse in the 154th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A linebacker of that caliber at slot 224 is the definition of value, full stop. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
KJ Jefferson at the Round 7 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
