Indianapolis Colts

Good, not great, for the Colts: B-.

The Colts treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending No. 156 on Quintayvious Hutchins a full 45 spots early. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

With wide receiver, quarterback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them. The Scott steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.15 · Pick 47 · Anthony Hill Jr. · LB · rank 39
The board had Anthony Hill Jr. higher than pick No. 47, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. It fills a real need, too.
R3.14 · Pick 78 · Keionte Scott · CB · rank 60
Somehow Keionte Scott was still sitting there in Round 3, Pick 14, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R4.13 · Pick 113 · Treydan Stukes · CB · rank 96
A want over a need in the 113th overall pick: Treydan Stukes adds a cornerback while wide receiver, quarterback and other spots keeps waiting.
R5.16 · Pick 156 · Quintayvious Hutchins · DE-EDGE · rank 201
They talked themselves into Quintayvious Hutchins at slot 156, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
