There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Chargers started one anyway for Cornelius Johnson, 124 picks ahead of schedule.
They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a red-zone target to build around. A clean fit for the roster.
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kris Jenkins. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A reach on Roman Wilson in slot 69; the board had better options right there. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
