Boards are made to be trusted, and the Cardinals shredded theirs for Riley Leonard. He came off 38 spots early, and the room will hear about it.
The Schwesinger value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get an anchor for the offensive line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Somehow T.J. Sanders was still sitting there in the 47th overall pick, and they pounced on premier interior defensive lineman value. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Aeneas Peebles in slot 78 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A big swing on Riley Leonard at the 113th pick, well ahead of any board in the building. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Steal is underselling it; Carson Schwesinger at pick No. 151 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
