Boards are made to be trusted, and the Dolphins shredded theirs for Logan Lee. He came off 27 spots early, and the room will hear about it.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 26 they get a cornerstone up front, though the board says they badly overpaid. A real need, handled.
They jumped the gun on Ruke Orhorhoro, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Christian Mahogany in pick 92 is fair value, right on his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
No edge and no loss on Christian Jones in the Round 4 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. The roster fit checks out.
Value said wait; Grayson Murphy in slot 158 says they were not listening. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They reached a country mile for Logan Lee at the 184th overall pick, and the board is aghast. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Garret Greenfield this early at the 198th pick. It fills a real need, too.
They took Bub Means at par in the 241st overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
