B-
Dallas Cowboys
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Cowboys.

2024 NFL Draft
· 7 picks
· 0 steals
· 4 reaches
The Cowboys looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Donte Kent at the 245th pick regardless, 85 picks early.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
They took Quinyon Mitchell at par in slot 24, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
T'Vondre Sweat at the 56th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
By-the-book stuff, Marist Liufau at the 87th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Braelon Allen at No. 124 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Andrew Raym this early at pick 174. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They jumped the gun on Zakhari Franklin, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Donte Kent in the 245th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
