The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Cowboys spent their marquee pick on Bo Nix, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Anthony. They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.

In pick No. 24 they get a long-term answer under center. A clean fit for the roster.
Patrick Paul at slot 56 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Cooper Beebe is a better player than the 87th overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Malik Washington at the Round 4 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Jaylin Simpson in the 173rd pick, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
You do not let a cornerback like Daijahn Anthony reach pick 213 and blink. They did not. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They will replay Josh Wallace at Round 7, Pick 22 for years; that is how good the value is. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
