The rest of the league will want that one back. Max Klare tumbling to the Broncos in the 111th pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
They will need Carmona to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
Good price on Christen Miller in the 65th pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
The board fumbled Jake Golday all the way to the 83rd overall pick, and they scooped it up. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Max Klare at pick 111 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A straight-up fair deal on Isaiah World at the Round 5 slot, value and slot in agreement. A need, and now a little less of one.

They reached into another round for Fernando Carmona, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
