When a board-topper like Anthony Hill Jr. slides to No. 62, you do not overthink it, and the Broncos did not.
For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Job largely done: linebacker settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.
They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Anthony Hill Jr. in the 62nd overall pick, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Bud Clark at pick No. 108 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A slide stopped in the Round 4 slot, with Emmett Johnson worth more than the price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Isaiah World in slot 160 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A tidy bit of business in No. 170, where Marlin Klein graded well above the range. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Brandon Cleveland in Round 7, Pick 11 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.

They did well to land Eli Heidenreich in the 256th pick, just ahead of his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
