The war room fell hard for Tristan Leigh, and it showed at Round 6, Pick 30: 55 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Ramsey. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 12th overall pick they get a lead back with juice, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
In pick No. 24 they get a security blanket over the middle. A clean fit for the roster.
Value with a capital V on Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in the 59th pick, a genuine coup. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
The board had Christen Miller higher than slot 70, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. It fills a real need, too.
Circle this one: Kamari Ramsey at the Round 4 slot is a fall that decides a draft. A need, and now a little less of one.
Sam Hecht in Round 4, Pick 12 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Treydan Stukes at pick No. 113 is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Ted Hurst at pick 115 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.

They left a pile of value on the table to take Sawyer Robertson this early at the Round 5 slot. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Jeremiah Wright at Round 6, Pick 25 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A wild overpay on Tristan Leigh in No. 211, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Trey Zuhn III at the 218th pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
The board had cheaper options than Logan Taylor at slot 248, and it noticed. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
