Cleveland Browns

The Browns cashed the board's mistake on Coleman: B.

Somebody in pick 107 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Browns sat still while Jonah Coleman, the No. 67 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.18 · Pick 18 · Jordyn Tyson · WR · rank 9
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jordyn Tyson at the Round 1 slot. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R1.24 · Pick 24 · Caleb Lomu · OT · rank 28
In slot 24 they get a blindside protector. A clean fit for the roster.
R2.7 · Pick 39 · Denzel Boston · WR · rank 30
They let Denzel Boston come to them and pounced at pick No. 39. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R3.6 · Pick 70 · Gennings Dunker · OT · rank 51
They will replay Gennings Dunker at No. 70 for years; that is how good the value is. The roster fit checks out.
R3.11 · Pick 75 · Emmanuel McNeil-Warren · S · rank 52
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren at Round 3, Pick 11 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R4.7 · Pick 107 · Jonah Coleman · RB · rank 67
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Jonah Coleman in the 107th pick, plain and simple. It fills a real need, too.
R5.1 · Pick 141 · Tacario Davis · CB · rank 102
They robbed the room for Tacario Davis here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R5.6 · Pick 146 · Eli Raridon · TE · rank 133
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Eli Raridon at the 146th overall pick is the proof. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R5.9 · Pick 149 · Davison Igbinosun · CB · rank 126
The board fumbled Davison Igbinosun all the way to pick 149, and they scooped it up. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
