They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Deven Eastern, 55 picks early at Round 7, Pick 15.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Williams. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a matchup problem out wide at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
In the 24th overall pick they get a cornerstone up front. A clean fit for the roster.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Peter Woods in pick 39. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They robbed the room for Antonio Williams here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Dametrious Crownover in slot 146 is fair value, right on his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Hezekiah Masses in Round 5, Pick 9 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Josh Cameron at the Round 6 slot is the proof. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They liked Kaelon Black enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 6, Pick 34. It fills a real need, too.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Deven Eastern this early at the 231st pick. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A real head-scratcher, Wesley Bissainthe in the 248th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
