The Browns spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Jalen Milroe, the No. 95 name on the board, in the Round 6 slot. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.
The Walker reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Dak Prescott gives the group a proven body among the projects.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a long-term starter on the line. A real need, handled.
Tetairoa McMillan at Round 2, Pick 1 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
The board had Demetrius Knight Jr. higher than the 67th overall pick, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Fair-plus on Andrew Mukuba, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A need, and now a little less of one.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for David Walker. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
RJ Harvey at the 165th pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It fills a real need, too.
Oronde Gadsden II in pick 181 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Taking Cobee Bryant in pick No. 198 is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They will replay Nohl Williams at Round 6, Pick 24 for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Jalen Milroe at the 216th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Tonka Hemingway in slot 217, miles early. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They paid up for Seth McLaughlin at No. 227 when waiting would have done the job. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They reached into another round for Garrett Dellinger, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
