The Packers put a flag in the ground for Ja'Had Carter, 37 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took All.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a ballhawk on the outside. The biggest hole, addressed.
Value with a capital V on Tyler Nubin in the 41st pick, a genuine coup. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Nothing to complain about; Kingsley Suamataia went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Darius Robinson at the Round 3 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Nice patience on Roman Wilson, who had no business lasting to pick 91. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.

Carson Steele at Round 6, Pick 42 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They let Erick All come to them and pounced at slot 219. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Fair-plus on Eric Gentry, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
