For all the boxes ticked, the Cardinals skipped the loudest one: quarterback is exactly as bare as it was.
The Turner pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 16th pick they get protection for the quarterback. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Jihaad Campbell in Round 2, Pick 15 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A tidy little value on Jayden Higgins in pick 78, a step better than break-even. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A reach for Shemar Turner in pick No. 114; a little patience would have been rewarded. It fills a real need, too.
Jonah Monheim at slot 153 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
