The Buccaneers ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.
On value alone, Sinnott makes the weekend a net positive. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Solomon has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
They will answer for taking OLB-EDGE early while interior defensive lineman, quarterback and other spots went begging.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 12th pick they get a double-digit-sack hope at fair value.
A straight-up fair deal on Zach Frazier at No. 57, value and slot in agreement. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They jumped the gun on Jalen McMillan, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A need, and now a little less of one.
The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending pick No. 92 on Javon Solomon with interior defensive lineman, quarterback and other spots unsolved.
They robbed the room for Ben Sinnott here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Nice patience on Tyrice Knight, who had no business lasting to Round 6, Pick 45. A minor need, but a need all the same.
The board had Tarheeb Still higher than pick No. 246, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
