There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Buccaneers started one anyway for Jacob Parrish, 39 picks ahead of schedule. A mixed bag that lands at C+.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Hit on Emeka Egbuka and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 19 they get a No. 1 receiver, though they paid up to get him. A real need, handled.
By-the-book stuff, Jack Sawyer at slot 53 squarely in line with his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
A big swing on Jacob Parrish at the 84th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A straight-up fair deal on Jeffrey Bassa at Round 4, Pick 19, value and slot in agreement. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
They talked themselves into Elijah Roberts at the 157th pick, and the board did not agree. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
