They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: David Walker, 27 picks early at Round 3, Pick 20. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Woodson. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
A conviction pick on Emeka Egbuka at No. 19 that the board grades a round light. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Nothing to complain about; Trey Amos went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The roster fit checks out.
David Walker at Round 3, Pick 20 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A need, and now a little less of one.
They took Jacob Parrish at par in pick No. 121, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A big swing on Elijah Roberts at the 157th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Craig Woodson in the 235th pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A minor need, but a need all the same.
