The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Buccaneers reached some 59 spots for Nadame Tucker, and value like that does not grow back. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
The Rodriguez value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
They let Avieon Terrell come to them and pounced at slot 28. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Lee Hunter in the 46th pick is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Jacob Rodriguez in pick No. 77 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Nadame Tucker. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Travis Burke at Round 5, Pick 15 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Domani Jackson at No. 195. The roster fit checks out.
Nice patience on Chase Roberts, who had no business lasting to the Round 7 slot. It fills a real need, too.
