There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Buccaneers started one anyway for Caden Curry, 55 picks ahead of schedule. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
The Bell value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 15th overall pick they get a security blanket over the middle at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
They let Jacob Rodriguez come to them and pounced at pick No. 59. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Caden Curry this early at pick 77. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They will replay Skyler Bell at slot 116 for years; that is how good the value is. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A straight-up fair deal on Beau Stephens at No. 155, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
VJ Payne in Round 6, Pick 14 is fair value, right on his grade. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jadon Canady in pick 229. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
