The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Buccaneers watched Ted Hurst slide 31 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

In pick 28 they get a plug-and-play piece up front. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They read the board right and CJ Allen was the payoff at slot 46. It adds depth where they could use a little.
The board fumbled Eli Stowers all the way to pick No. 77, and they scooped it up. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They will replay Ted Hurst at the 116th pick for years; that is how good the value is. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A straight-up fair deal on Beau Stephens at Round 5, Pick 15, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
No drama and no debate, Aaron Graves went about where he belonged in the Round 6 slot. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
