Some picks age like wine; Brandon Cleveland at Round 7, Pick 13 will need to, sitting 91 spots clear of his grade.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. However the rest shakes out, Scott at that price is a win they earned. The trade work was a quiet net positive.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
A reasonable price with a little left over, Sonny Styles in slot 18. A minor itch, scratched.
They went early on Gabe Jacas in Round 2, Pick 14, and the value did not follow. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Nice patience on Keionte Scott, who had no business lasting to pick 77. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Malik Benson in No. 155. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Beau Stephens at pick No. 163 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Ephesians Prysock in the Round 6 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
No drama and no debate, Dallen Bentley went about where he belonged in pick 196. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Brandon Cleveland in the Round 7 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It fills a real need, too.
