Nobody had Logan Fano this high, and it is not close. The Buccaneers reached 70 spots to get him at the 187th overall pick.
However the rest shakes out, Scott at that price is a win they earned. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.
The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 15 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare, though the board says they badly overpaid. A real need, handled.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jacob Rodriguez in the 77th overall pick. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Keionte Scott in pick 111 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It fills a real need, too.
A premium they did not need to pay, Tanner Koziol a notch or two before his time. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Jaeden Roberts in Round 5, Pick 15 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Logan Fano at No. 187 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Jeff Caldwell in Round 6, Pick 14 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A straight-up fair deal on Kaelon Black at the Round 6 slot, value and slot in agreement. The roster fit checks out.
Keyshaun Elliott at slot 229 is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
