For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Cowboys walked out of the weekend still thin at wide receiver, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 24 they get a cornerstone up front at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
No edge and no loss on Payton Wilson in Round 2, Pick 24; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Blake Corum in the 87th overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
