You can hear the double-takes from here. The Cardinals took Brant Kuithe at slot 163, roughly 64 spots before his name belonged. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.
So much rides on Shedeur Sanders that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.
They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Collins.
The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get their quarterback of the future at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
In the 16th pick they get a premier pass rusher. Exactly the need they had to hit.
The board fumbled Alfred Collins all the way to pick No. 78, and they scooped it up. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Cam Skattebo slid further than he should have, and Round 4, Pick 13 is lovely value for the running back. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
