The rest of the league had time to spare on Jared Wiley; the Commanders did not wait, grabbing him 33 spots ahead at No. 181.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They have staked the next five years on Drake Maye, which is the only story that really matters here.

Getting Still where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
