The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Drake Maye, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

That Jacobs pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

If All pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
