This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Cody Simon, the No. 120 name on the board, stolen at the 216th pick. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
Cam Ward gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 6 they get a passer to set the clock by at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
They liked Benjamin Morrison enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 37. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Jalon Walker in Round 3, Pick 4 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
