The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: DJ James, the 127th overall pick, roughly 74 picks past where he belonged. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A-.
The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.
Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
It is a haul that will look even better come September.
Pick-by-Pick
They barely believed it either: Michael Penix Jr. still on the board at pick No. 55. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They paid sticker price for Kiran Amegadjie in pick 67, and that is fine. The roster fit checks out.

Steal is underselling it; Trevor Keegan at the 184th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Marcus Harris at the Round 6 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Evan Williams at Round 7, Pick 21 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Fabien Lovett in No. 247 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
