The rest of the league will want that one back. Emmanuel McNeil-Warren tumbling to the Panthers in No. 83 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
The phones were where this weekend was really won. The Kamara pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 19th overall pick they get a matchup weapon at tight end at fair value. A real need, handled.
D'Angelo Ponds in Round 2, Pick 19 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in pick 83, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Mikail Kamara at No. 124 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Taylen Green at pick No. 159 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
