There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Cardinals started one anyway for Kevin Jennings, 87 picks ahead of schedule. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
Schwesinger at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 24 they get a disruptor off the edge. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Value said wait; Donovan Ezeiruaku in pick No. 47 says they were not listening. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Ozzy Trapilo at the Round 2 slot is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Tate Ratledge in Round 3, Pick 14 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
O'Donnell Fortune in slot 114 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
