Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Shaun Dolac at No. 113 is 193 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.
The Restrepo pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.
The veteran additions, Graham Barton chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
They barely believed it either: Shemar Stewart still on the board at pick No. 39. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Mike Green at the Round 2 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They will replay Derrick Harmon at the 55th pick for years; that is how good the value is. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Nice patience on Aireontae Ersery, who had no business lasting to the 58th overall pick. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They liked Darien Porter enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 68. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
