Every other box got a look, but quarterback did not. The Cardinals will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
However the rest shakes out, Skattebo at that price is a win they earned. Every board in the league had Ezeiruaku lower, and that gap is the story. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
By-the-book stuff, Kenneth Grant at pick 20 squarely in line with his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Tyleik Williams in pick No. 47 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A premium they did not need to pay, Donovan Ezeiruaku a notch or two before his time. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Cam Skattebo at slot 114 is the proof. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
The board had Jared Wilson higher than the 121st pick, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
