Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Cardinals were there to profit. TreVeyon Henderson, the No. 55 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 151.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 16 they get a disruptor off the edge at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
They took Isaiah Bond at par in the 47th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Taking Alfred Collins in Round 3, Pick 14 is close to grand larceny; an interior defensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
The board fumbled Demetrius Knight Jr. all the way to the 113th pick, and they scooped it up. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Somehow TreVeyon Henderson was still sitting there in pick 151, and they pounced on premier running back value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
