The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: TreVeyon Henderson, Round 4, Pick 16, roughly 59 picks past where he belonged.
The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Every board in the league had Sawyer lower, and that gap is the story. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 17 they get a problem off the edge, reach and all. The biggest hole, addressed.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Armand Membou. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A straight-up fair deal on Jalen Milroe at the 78th pick, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Demetrius Knight Jr. in the Round 3 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Nice patience on Elic Ayomanor, who had no business lasting to slot 113. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Taking TreVeyon Henderson in No. 117 is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Steal is underselling it; Lathan Ransom at Round 5, Pick 14 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
